FAQ

Straight answers, before you ever call.

The questions homeowners actually ask us, answered the same way we'd answer them on your driveway.

The big ones

Repair, replace, and what it all involves.

Do I need a repair or a full replacement?

It depends on what's failing. Isolated damage, flashing, a run of wind-lifted shingles, a cracked pipe boot, is a repair. Widespread granule loss, curling across the field, or a deck going soft points to replacement. The free inspection answers this with photos, and if a repair will do, that's what we'll recommend.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family homes are torn off and dried-in the same day, with the full system completed in one to two days. Larger or steeper roofs take longer; your written estimate includes the expected schedule, and the roof is never left open overnight.

Will my homeowner's insurance pay for it?

If the damage came from a covered event, wind, hail, a fallen tree, often yes. What matters is documentation before anything is disturbed. We photograph everything during the inspection or emergency dry-in, and we can walk the roof with your adjuster so the scope reflects the actual damage.

What does "GAF Master Elite" actually mean?

It's GAF's top contractor certification, held by fewer than 2% of roofing contractors in North America. It requires proper licensing, adequate insurance, a proven reputation, and ongoing factory training, and it's what allows us to register GAF's strongest system warranties for you.

How should I prepare for a re-roof?

Move vehicles out of the driveway, take fragile items off interior walls and shelves (hammering vibrates the frame), cover anything delicate in the attic against dust, and plan for a loud day. We tarp the landscaping, protect the AC unit, and sweep the yard for nails with magnets before we leave.

Do you charge for estimates or inspections?

No. Estimates are free, written, and explained in plain English. If you just want to know what shape your roof is in, that answer is free too.

Do I need to be home during the work?

For the estimate, it helps; we'll walk you through the photos. During the work itself, no; most customers go about their day. We confirm the scope before starting and walk the finished roof with you after.

What happens if a storm hits before my scheduled work?

Call us. Active leaks and storm damage jump the queue for emergency tarping and dry-in, stopping water always comes first, for scheduled customers especially.
